North Carolina...what can I really say about this state. I have a lot of fond memories that take me back. In addition, it's the state where the majority of my maternal family members were enslaved.

Because of this, I'm restarting the podcast with this state. In the first podcast associated with the state of NC, I will cover:

a) the history of North Carolina
b) any current genealogical events in NC
c) noted historians in NC that may assist you with your genealogical research

I have missed podcasting since the birth of my son but now he's older so I can devote more time to one of my passions - African-American genealogy and history. With the advent of an African-American president in the White House, I find this pursuit even more surreal.

I need to finish up Maryland for the next podcasts. But I'll skip VA and move on to NC - my parents' home state. But until then...
